Waiver and Release:
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the 2025 JAINA Convention and related events and activities, I, the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
- Assumption of Risk: I understand that attending and participating in the 2025 JAINA Convention involves certain risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness (including COVID-19), and property loss. I voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the organizers or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation.
- Compliance with Rules: I agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation in the 2025 JAINA Convention, including but not limited to safety protocols, health guidelines, and venue regulations.
- Release of Liability: I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA), the Schaumburg Convention Center, Hyatt Regency, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (collectively, the “Releasees”), from any and all claims, demands, losses, and liability arising out of or related to any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Medical Treatment: I consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the 2025 JAINA Convention. I release and discharge all Releasees from any and all claims or liabilities arising out of or connected with such treatment.
- Media Release: I grant permission to JAINA to use photographs, video, and audio recordings of me taken during the 2025 JAINA Convention for promotional purposes in any media, without compensation.
- Governing Law: This Waiver and Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, and any disputes arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
I AM AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THIS WAIVER ON BEHALF OF ALL REGISTRANT UNDER BY REGISTRATION.
